Oggi- Blue Calypso Stainless Steel Bottle!

So with plastic water bottles in the news lately, I decided to buy new filters for the fridge and get some new travel bottles! Yes I have a million, but after a little experiment I didn't like that none of the bottles except my Igloo thermos lasted for more than 4 hours. I also wanted a couple of bottles that will stay cold out on the lake and in the car during our long drives without melting and getting warm. So I found a few different bottles. I am still waiting on 2 more to come in. 1 will be for my coffee and the big guy will be for iced teas and coconut water.
So this is my water bottle and I LOVE IT!!!!
-Oggi- Stainless Steel Calypso Double Wall Sports Bottle with Screw Top (0.75 Liter, 25oz )-Blue Neon Finish-

OMG!!! This is a stainless steel, vacuum insulated water bottle!  It didn't say it in the description, but on the label it says it keeps cold stuff cold for 24 hours and stuff hot for 12. So I haven't tried anything hot because I only plan on drinking water or iced tea in this one.
Yesterday I put this water bottle to the test! At noon I filled it up with ice and water and put it outside in the sun for 30 hours! That's in 100 degree Georgia summer sun! So at 6pm full of ice, checked it before I went to bed ice melted a bit. In the morning around 7 am still had a good chunk of ice! 12 pm the next day 24 hours later STILL HAD ICE!!! So I was like heck lets see how much longer it lasts.. so I just checked it at 6pm 30 hours later... Still has a little chunk of ice!! It will prob keep the water cold another 6 hours if I left it!
I swear I'm prob going to buy every color and hope they make more styles!! its not too big they have other sizes avail too!
My only con so far was I wasn't impressed with the packaging . it was just wrapped in bubble wrap, but that prob keeps the cost down. At least there were no dings or scratches!
LOVE THIS THING!!!!
Oh and you could fit a whole bottle of wine or better yet a bottle of rum in it!
Once I get my other bottles, I'll let you know how they are!
Oh and get ready for some annoying Instagram pics with my new bottle!

Week 2 of my Dopey training

Well all I have to say is... training week 2 has been a bust! I was a lazy butt this week. I didn't get outside and walk or hop on the treadmill at all. I know NOT GOOD!! Oh well that was last week and tomorrow is a new one! All I can do is move on and try harder than the week before!
Now other than today, I did pretty good on my Paleo track! I did cheat a few times but not as bad as the past month. So that's good. I stocked up on my paleo friendly foods for the week, So I shouldn't have the urge to cheat.
Now on to week 3! I'm going to the Jacksonville Zoo Tuesday so that will be a bunch of walking and I'll get some camera time in!
Check me out on Instagram - The Snappy Coconut and Facebook
Talk to you later!!
I would love to read your story! Let me know if you have a blog. I try and follow anyone who follows me!
Here's to a better week,

My Road to Dopey

A few months ago I decided it was time for a change! I started eating a Paleo/Primal diet and decided I wanted to start some kind of fitness program. Since my surgery some activities are not easy for me. No lifting, jumping crunching! One day while on Facebook I came across a RunDisney video for their Glass Slipper Challenge. I was hooked! I decided right there and then I was going to run a Disney race!!
So I went out got new shoes, a treadmill and my Garmin watch and a month later I ran my very 1st 5k 3 months after my diaphragmatic hernia repair!!
Well I got a stomach bug and my training and eating habits went down hill!!! So a few weeks ago I decided its time to start up again and I came up with a 3 year plan! In January 2018 I am going to run the RunDisney Dopey Challenge!!! 48.6 miles in 4 days! Yeah that's crazy, I mean Dopey!!!
So The Dopey challenge is where you run a 5k on Thursday, 10k on Friday, HalfMarathon on Saturday and the Full Marathon on Sunday!
So I put together a planner to track my weight loss, meals, miles, steps and activities. I want to look back and see all my hard work for the past 3 years! I have completed week 1 and I am on to week two!! Wish me luck and follow my journey here!
If you would like more info on the Dopey Challenge please visit RunDisney's website at www.RunDisney.com

My planner and notebook for when I am out and about!

My charts for tracking all my stuff! I also have loose leave paper to write down my activities and meals.
I want it to be kind of like a scrapbook planner!
 Have a great day!!
